Intimate Feminine Surgery (Labiaplasty)

Intimate Feminine Surgery

REDUCTION LABIAPLASTY

Reduction labiaplasty is a surgery which reduces and/or redesigns the labia minora (inner vaginal lips). On occasions, hypertrophic inner lips (enlarged and/or asymmetrical) may cause pain, irritation or simply be ugly for some women.

The cause of these alterations may be simply genetic or appear after childbirth.Through the reduction and redesign of the minor lips we can achieve a significant functional and aesthetic improvement.

AUGMENTATION LABIAPLASTY

Major lips can change after childbirth, with the increase or decrease of body weight or with age.

The loss of adipose tissue on major lips can be uncomfortable during sexual activity due to the loss of the natural cushion they provide on the pubic bone.

We can solve these problems by filling the area with the patient’s own fat (lipofilling) or with hyaluronic acid. This treatment gives more volume and a younger and softer look overall.

Except from the procedure with hyaluronic acid (which is minor), the others are outpatient surgeries which only require local anesthesia.

After the surgery some discomfort and edema can appear on the area, but they progressively disappear after 1 or 2 weeks.

Incisions usually heal well and they are rarely perceived. As in most surgical procedures, there are risks of infection and hematoma on the wound, but it is rare.

Normally, daily activities can be resumed after 3 or 4 days.

It is convenient to avoid sexual activity for 30 days.
