Diamond Microdermabrasion (Microderm)
Diamond microdermabrasion is an exfoliation procedure performed on the superficial, outermost layers of the skin.
With this technique we remove dead cells from the stratum corneum of the skin, like we do with a chemical peel, but in a smoother, safer and more precise way.
It is a painless procedure, which doesn´t require special care neither stops the patient from immediately continuing with their daily activities.
It can be used to treat:
- Atrophic, dry skins, which have lost elasticity.
- Aged skins due to sun-damage.
- Superficial pigmentations.
- Fine lines and slight wrinkles.
- Blackhead removal.
- Stretch marks.
- Acne scarring and other sequels.
- Exaggerated scars.
The results are progressive and the treatment requires several sessions, depending on the characteristics of the injury that we may be treating, the skin age and type.
Normally, 6 to 12 sessions are needed, with an interval between them of 1 to 2 weeks. A maintenance plan is advisable afterwards, on a 2 or 3-months basis.
The procedure lasts a few minutes, a slight reddening or sensation of tense skin can occur, that disappears a few hours later.
The skin will look younger, smoother, polished and clean after the first treatment.
